Bring Your Own Case to the 2020 Conference:

As an attendee of the Stanford Advanced Airway Management and Fiberoptic Course, you have the opportunity to submit a challenging airway case for potential presentation at the 2020 conference. The course director and co-directors will select three case prize winners for presentation and discussion by a panel of experts.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (17.50 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (17.50 hours)

1. Integrate into practice effective approaches and strategies for predicting and managing difficult airway, per latest evidence-based medicine data
2. Apply advanced oxygenation techniques, such as Transnasal Humidified Rapid-Insufflation Ventilatory Exchange (THRIVE)
3. Develop skills for alternative ventilation strategies using supraglottic airway (SGA) devices, techniques for SGA-endotracheal tube exchange, and surgical techniques for rescue ventilation
4. Enhance crisis resources management (CRM) skills for debriefing situations in practice
5. Determine proper patient selection and preparation for awake flexible fiberoptic intubation (FOI)

The Stanford University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
 
Credit Designation

The Stanford University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The California Board of Registered Nursing recognizes that Continuing Medical Education (CME) is acceptable for meeting RN continuing education requirements as long as the course is certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (rn.ca.gov).  Nurses will receive a Certificate of Participation following this activity that may be used for license renewal.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
