The ever-increasing amount of new biomedical Information requires pediatric and family physicians to obtain comprehensive, up-to-date Information on a wide range of clinical issues encountered in pediatric daily practice.  The Popular Pediatric Clinical Topics 2019 will highlight recent advances in pediatrics presented by a variety of clinical faculty covering such topics as: evaluation of the limping child, injuries to the elbow, head trauma and concussion, neonatal fever, handling emergencies In the office, child behavior and psychiatry, management of eating disorders, contraceptive update, asthma management, child health advocacy and many more.   

This course is presented in a mini-seminar format with cases, Q&A and time for Interaction with the faculty.

Objectives
  1. Develop a strategy to diagnose and treat or refer the child with a concussion to specialists.
  2. Consider the various contraceptive options for your adolescent patients seeking birth control.
  3. Increase your knowledge of the various types of childhood seizures in order to properly evaluate, diagnose and treat.
  4. Determine what is needed in your community in order to advocate for children’s health.

The Stanford University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation
The Stanford University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The California Board of Registered Nursing recognizes that Continuing Medical Education (CME) is acceptable for meeting RN continuing education requirements as long as the course is certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM (rn.ca.gov).  Nurses will receive a Certificate of Participation following this activity that may be used for license renewal.

These rates are valid for a single or double occupancy and subject to the Transient Accommodation Tax of 10.25%, State Tax of 4.166%. Each extra person beyond double occupancy sharing a suite will be charged an additional $50 per adult, per night. There will be no charge for children up to the age of 17 years who share with their parents. Maximum occupancy per suite is 2 adults/4 persons. Request for additional guestrooms for up to (3) days pre and post stays will be honored on a space available basis at the best rate at the time of request. Deposit of 2 nights required for booking reservation.
