Updates in Academic Ophthalmology

Stanford Medicine hosts local ophthalmologists and optometrists and features two Stanford speakers, discussing topics related to areas of expertise. General ophthalmologists and optometrists and specialists within other practice areas will benefit from the review and focus on research-driven clinical care topics. This meeting will feature Dr. Clara Men and Dr. Wen-Shin Lee. Drs. Men and Lee will discuss the aging face, effects of aging on the periocular region, as well as rethinking the role of surgery in glaucoma management.

1. Analyze findings of the Collaborative Initial Glaucoma Treatment Study.
2. Discuss new trial data supporting earlier glaucoma surgical intervention.
3. Review clinical trial data from 2012 until present for iStent, Hydrus stent, canaloplasty, and goniotomy/trabeculotomy.
4. Implement tips and tricks for common oculoplastics issues.
