Building a Culture of Health Equity Monthly Lecture Series: Health Equity Research in the LGBTQ+ Community

Co-sponsored by Stanford Center for Continuing Medical Education, Stanford Medicine HEAL Network (Health Equity Action Leadership), Stanford Medicine REACH Initiative (Racial Equity to Advance a Community of Health), and the Stanford Medicine GME Diversity Committee.

This monthly webinar series will feature experts and leaders discussing strategies for promoting anti-racism in healthcare, addressing structural determinants of health, and identifying other root causes of health inequity. The overarching goal of each lecture will be to expand learners’ knowledge and pass along strategies that will help clinicians advance health equity at their home institutions and in practice.

Registration is required.  The Zoom registration link will be provided in your registration confirmation email.  You will be prompted to fill in your first name, last name and email address.  Once you do, you will receive automatic access to the June 28th webinar link.

There is no cost to register for this webinar.

1. Examine the impact of inequities in LGBTQ communities and how research can begin to address those inequities.
2. Increase awareness about research addressing health disparities in LGBTQ communities and why some researchers have chosen to focus their careers in this space.
3. Highlight community engaged research addressing health disparities in LGBTQ communities.
