THIS IS A HIPAA RESTRICTED, STANFORD DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE ONLY ACTIVITY. This case-based series discusses adverse events and medical conditions known to be at high risk of resulting in an adverse event are presented and discussed among practitioners in Emergency Medicine.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (1.00 hours)

1. Apply evidence-based medicine to narrow the range of practice variability.
2. Develop strategies to prevent adverse events in patient care.
3. Identify system issues and implement improvements that will maximize outcomes for patients.
